Helpful Information

What are the opening days and times?

CIS is open from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Sundays between 9 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. Not all companies are open on Sundays. Therefore, we recommend getting in touch with the Information Office first by calling the number +39 081 5108366. CIS is exceptionally closed on bank holidays and for the summer break. Please, find further information in the calendar below.

How do I get to CIS?

CIS can be reached:

by car on the A30 motorway, taking the Nola exit or on the major road “Strada Statale 7BIS Nola-Villa Literno”, taking the CIS di Nola exit
by train to Naples Central Station or Naples Afragola Station, and then by taxi or by bus (if available) to CIS
by plane. The closest airport is Naples Capodichino which is about 30 km away from CIS by taxi.

Which documents are required to gain access to the Center and make purchases?

Italian companies must submit a copy of their VAT registration certificate or a copy of their business permit.

Foreign companies are required to submit their VAT registration number (if appropriate), their enrolment number as figuring on the Companies Register of their home country (or an equivalent document) and an ID card belonging to the owner of the company (European firm) or a passport (non-European firm).

Can private customers shop at CIS?

CIS is a distribution and wholesale centre, so only business people or professionals with a VAT number can make purchases.

Can I enter CIS without a VAT number to make contact with people and gather information for future business activities?

The Centre is also open to individuals without a VAT number, but, although they are welcome to enter, they cannot buy.

Do purchases have to be made by the business owner in person?

Purchases must be made with a VAT number, but not necessarily by the actual holder of the VAT number.

Do I need to register at the entrance?

No registration or authorisation is necessary upon entering. However, we do recommend visiting the Information Office at the entrance to pick up a map showing the layout and get information about how to find your way around the Centre.

What methods of payment are accepted?

You can pay by cash up to € 3,000 (in compliance with Italian laws currently in force), by credit card/cash card (where applicable) or by bank transfer.

In addition, CIS has 5 banking branches to facilitate operations for both its companies and customers.

Do I need to fix an appointment with the companies?

No appointment is required to visit the showrooms or make purchases.

What are the prices like?

Prices vary from product to product and company to company. If you are interested in making a purchase, we advise you to get in touch directly with the company in question and ask for a quote.

Can goods be delivered?

Of course! You can make enquiries about delivery directly at the company you bought from or otherwise at the Information Office (located at the entrance of CIS) to get a list of couriers available on our premises.

Are there hotels to stay in?

Yes. The closest hotel is situated inside the neighbouring shopping mall (Vulcano Buono). It is a 4-star Holiday Inn.

Our whereabouts

Ideally situated in the heart of the Mediterranean area

Located outside the town of Nola, CIS lies 30 km on the outskirts of Naples in Southern Italy and is easily accessible from Italy or abroad using any method of transport. CIS is a huge trading centre in the middle of the Mediterranean which boasts excellent connections to the main motorways, railway lines and airports.
